The
Arsenal on the Charles
Web Site
The Arsenal on the Charles is a new commercial real
estate development in Watertown, Massachusetts. Originally
a U.S. Military Arsenal, its now a beautifully
landscaped and renovated commercial complex.
They needed a web site for several reasons: to attract
potential tenants, as a benefit to tenants to post job
listings, etc., and to be an information source to the
all-new tenant group, which would need to know the basics
of where to eat lunch, which bus to take, and information
on local amenities.
Anastasia Design created a web site that provides easy
access information for the variety of user groups. For
the look, we combined the historical feel of the property
with a modern high-tech edge to attract the dot-com/high-tech
companies that were the majority of their tenant/potential
tenant profile.
This property has had its share of challenges and they
are now on their third property management company.
Anastasia Design has worked seamlessly with all three
companies, incorporating the desires of each while maintaining
a consistent, professional representation for the development.
Phase Two:
As the original web site was so effective, Anastasia
Design was asked once again to serve the needs of the
Arsenal through the web. They had 300,000 sq/ft vacant
in their main building and wanted to fill it quickly
in a difficult market. We created a flash animation
on the home page touting the space available and bringing
the viewer into Co-Star (a third-party real estate plug-in
that offers all the current specs on the space available).
In addition, we created 360o virtual tours on the web
site so interested parties would immediately see how
amazing the offering was, showing two 4-story orange
lobbies, a fountain outside and amenities.
These changes were very effective for them and the
space is almost completely filled.
The next challenge concerned existing occupants
all of whom had maintenance needs. The Arsenal needed
an effective way to field, track, relay status, dispatch
and complete these jobs. We created a data-based "Tenant
Request" section on the web site.
Its very easy to use, and tenants and the property
manager now have an efficient system they can rely on.
It has resulted in the property manager saving a huge
amount of money.
